College Street Players announce auditions for “Aladdin Jr.”

By Staff Reports

Go on a magic carpet ride with the College Street Players at the Sparkman Civic Center next month when the theatre group holds open auditions for its next production, “Aladdin Jr.”

Auditions will be held from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Nov. 2 and Nov. 4 as well as from 10 a.m. until noon Nov. 6.

For this production, directors Marcia Sartin and Dynette Weeks said they are seeking actors who are in the second through 12th grades. Anyone who plans to audition for a lead will need to prepare a small portion of song that shows off vocal ability, and everyone should be prepared for cold reads from the script.

Audition materials can be found online at www.mtishows.com/broadway-junior/audition-central.

Production dates will be Feb. 23-26 at Hartselle High School, with the Feb. 23 production requiring cast members to miss school.

Evening shows Feb. 24-26 will be held at 7 p.m., and a matinee show will begin at 2 p.m.

For more information, contact Weeks at 931-247-0277 or Sartin at 256-347-0099.
