Hartselle sweeps rival Decatur in volleyball

The 6A No. 8 Hartselle Lady Tigers improved to 19-12 and 4-0 in area play with a three-set sweep over Decatur this past Thursday. In the three-game sweep, they defeated the Lady Red Raiders 25-8, 25-10, 25-7. 

The Lady Tigers were swept earlier in the week by 7A No. 7 Sparkman 3-0 – 25-14, 25-21, 25-22. 

Amber Holshouser had 33 assists during the two matches for the Lady Tigers. Alia Wright had 20 kills, while Jadyn Chesser had nine and five digs. Ashley Holshouser had 23 digs and five aces; KJ Jones added 18 digs; and Megan Lee had 17 digs, nine assists, and seven aces.
