Sewing to Save will held Aug. 23-25 from 10 a.m. to noon in Hartselle, and those interested are invited to sign up now. 

This free class, hosted by the Morgan County Extension, will cover the basic techniques of beginning sewing and will explore ways to save money by sewing, making alterations and recycling old clothes to make new fashions.  

Participants will complete one sewing project.   

Registration is limited and is on a first-come, first-served basis.   

Once registered, the Extension will provide a list of items participants will need to bring. Some items will be provided; however, participants can feel free to bring their own tools/sewing machine.   

The event will follow the CDC guidelines on masking and social distancing.
