Police nab Birmingham men on drug trafficking charges

The Morgan County Sheriff’s Drug Enforcement Unit assisted the North Alabama HIDTA Drug Task Force, in partnership with Alabama Law Enforcement Agency members, in the arrest of two narcotics traffickers from the Birmingham area July 22.

Huntsville K-9 Rooster assisted in the recovery of three kilograms of methamphetamine.

The arrests took place in Priceville, with additional assistance from Decatur Police Department and Priceville Police Department.

According to the MCSO, 29-year-old Hector Ariel Lemus Guerra and 24-year-old Alejandro Venegas Mendoza were both charged with trafficking methamphetamine. They are both being held in the Morgan County Jail with a $500,000 bond.
