Falkville starts search for new head football coach

The Falkville Blue Devils are looking for a new head football coach following the departure of Tyler Mitchell. He left the program this past week.

Mitchell was head coach of the Blue Devils for two years, replacing Joel Schrenk, who left for 6A Hazel Green.

Mitchell was 15-8 in his time leading the Falkville football program. He went 7-5 in his first season, which ended in the second round of the playoffs. The Blue Devils were 8-3 this past season, losing in the first round of the playoffs.

The 2020 team recorded six shutouts while scoring 38 or more points in seven of their 11 games. They spent four weeks in the ASWA 2A rankings.
