Falkville teammates sign with Crowley Ridge softball

Falkville Lady Blue Devil softball teammates Brooklyn Melson and Mackenzie Veal will continue their softball careers at Crowley’s Ridge College in Arkansas after signing with the Lady Pioneers recently.

Melson will play infield and some catcher, while Veal will play either first base or third base.

“We are getting two solid players in Brooklyn and Mackenzie,” said CRC Coach Jordan Malone. “We love to recruit former teammates to continue their careers together. Both of these girls are hard workers, and we are excited that we could keep them together.

“They both have a passion for the sport that we love to see,” Malone added, “and we know they will both be ready for this level.”

Crowley’s Ridge plays in the NAIA and is part of the Association of Independent Institutions, which is made up of NAIA member institutions that do not belong to an NAIA-affiliated conference.
