Wired for success

Cerrowire announces two leadership promotions

Special to the Enquirer

Cerrowire has announced promotions in two of its departments, with Toby Robin rising to vice president of sales and marketing and Chris Marlow taking on the VP role in electrical distribution.

“During the ‘business-not-as-usual’ year we have all experienced, Toby and Chris found innovative ways to stay connected with Cerrowire customers, our sales reps and our production teams,” praised Cerrowire President Stewart Smallwood. “I look forward to their continued leadership as we anticipate even more growth in 2021 and beyond.”

Toby Robin

Vice President of Sales and Marketing

Toby Robin steps into the role of vice president of sales and marketing, providing strategic direction to both the electrical distribution and retail distribution channels as Cerrowire continues to grow its business in both sectors.

Robin joined Cerrowire in 2014 as the business development manager for the eastern U.S. and has continued to expand his knowledge of the business with each new position, becoming an integral member of the company’s management team.

In his new role leading the sales and marketing organization, Robin will continue to create avenues for developing successful business relationships with Cerrowire’s customers through innovative products, services and programs that address evolving construction industry needs.

Chris Marlow

Vice President of Electrical Distribution

Chris Marlow was recently promoted to the position of vice president of electrical distribution.

He joined Cerrowire as the director of strategic accounts for the electrical distribution channel in 2020. His 19 years of experience in the electrical manufacturing arena in sales and business development roles were important to the company’s successful navigation through the upheavals that impacted the industry last year.

Headquartered in Hartselle, Cerrowire is a copper wire manufacturing company with plants in Alabama, Georgia, Indiana and Utah. The company supplies building wire and cable throughout North America for commercial, industrial and residential use. Products are available through electrical distributors, wholesalers and retailers.
