Corinth West Baptist Church delivers stew to shut-ins

The members of Corinth West Baptist Church deliver stew from Holy Smokes BBQ to shut-ins area wide two Saturdays each month. Those participating in the food delivery include Patti Condo, Shanda Garner, Donna Smithson, Christie Guthrie, Dawn Shedd, Dana Pope Henslee, Anita Reid, Shirley Pope, Patricia Echols, Jessie Emerson, Taylor Emerson, Kamee Morgan, David Shedd and Tony Smithson.  

In other activities, the church members will host a Swamp John’s fundraiser March 20 from 4-7 p.m. 

Danville High School announces prom date 

Danville High School Prom 2021 will be held April 16 at Quail Creek Resort and will be parent sponsored.  

If you have a junior or senior at Danville High School, you can put in a request to join the Danville High school parent sponsored Senior Prom” group on Facebook. 

Falkville High School Activities  

Congratulations go out this week to Brooklyn Melson. Brooklyn signed a softball letter of intent to play at Crowley’s Ridge College in Arkansas . Congratulations also go to the Falkville High School FFA Land Judging Team for winning the Morgan County contest. Team members are Taylor Smith, Gavin Lee, Bryce Bryan and Avery Bramlett. Gavin Lee was the individual high scorer of the entire contest. The team will advance in the state contest later in March. 

Falkville Elementary School Announcement 

The early enrollment for the 2021-22 kindergarten school year opens March 22. All enrollment is online, and theres a link at www.morgank12.org in both English and Spanish.  

Registration does not guarantee enrollment.   

The school will contact you for an appointment once you complete the online registration. At that time, you’ll need to be prepared with birth certificate, Social Security card and current immunization record.
