Five from Morgan County and one from Winston County were placed under arrest following a drug bust this past week. 

Morgan County Sheriff Drug Enforcement Unit agents attached to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Drug Enforcement Task Force and Morgan County Sheriff’s Office patrol deputies executed a search warrant on a residence in the 1400 block of Parker Road in Hartselle March 12.  

Upon arrival, agents and deputies reportedly observed two individuals fleeing from a shop at the residence. The individuals were apprehended by deputies after a brief foot pursuit.  

During the search, agents reported recovering approximately 2 ounces of methamphetamine, 5 ounces of marijuana, numerous drug paraphernalia items and numerous firearms.  

Of those firearms, one was reported stolen by a local police agency.  

Agents also located a vehicle reported stolen out of a county in Tennessee.  

Morgan County Criminal Investigators responded to the scene to conduct an investigation into the stolen items. After conducting field interviews, agents and investigators arrested:  

–Jason Patrick Henderson, 46, of Hartselle for trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of marijuana first degree and receiving stolen property second degree.  

–Cody Dwight Anders, 28, of Hartselle for unlawful possession of a controlled substance–meth and loitering in a drug house 

–Jennifer Ann Long, 40, of Hartselle, for loitering in a drug house 

–Thomas John Kitchens, 24, of Eva, for loitering in a drug house 

–Benjamin Seth Holmes, 29, of Double Springs, for attempting to elude and loitering in a drug house 

–Rebecca Ann Borden, 21, of Somerville, for loitering in a drug house  

The investigation is ongoing, with more arrests and charges expected, according to authorities. 

All suspects were booked in the Morgan County Jail, with bonds pending.
