Jesse Owens Museum, Park welcomes visitors

The staff at the Jesse Owens Museum and Park, located at 7019 County Road 203, Danville, welcomes visitors to their facility. The site is open Wednesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with hours subject to change at a later date.  

The Jesse Owens Museum and Park staff are proud to offer free highspeed Wi-Fi throughout the 30acre attraction. The public is invited to enjoy this amenity at the beautifullygroomed park, along with picnic pavilions, clean outdoor restrooms, ballfields, a basketball court and a playground.  

The gates are always open.  

Everyone is encouraged to visit the museum, which honors the life of legendary Olympic champion Jesse Owens.

Falkville Police Department Fundraiser  

The Falkville Police Department is selling shirts, with the proceeds going to the Falkville Police Department fund. Sizes remaining are one 3X short-sleeve shirt, four XL long-sleeve shirts, four XL short-sleeve shirts, one large hoodie, one large short-sleeve shirt, four large long-sleeve shirts, one medium hoodie, six medium long-sleeve shirts, five medium short-sleeve shirts, one small hoodie, eight small long-sleeve shirts and nine small short-sleeve shirts. 

Children’s sizes remaining are one medium short sleeve and one large short sleeve.  

Prices are $15 for short sleeves, $20 for long sleeves, $30 for hoodies and $3 extra for the 3X. 

The shirts can be seen at Falkville Town Hall.
