Lady Tigers hold off Austin for a 59-51 win

The Hartselle Lady Tigers held off a second-half Austin rally to pick up a 59-51 win on Tuesday night.

The Lady Tigers, who led 30-21 at the half, was outscored by the Lady Black Bears 22-17 in the third quarter to cut the lead to four points heading to the fourth quarter.

Masyn Marchbanks scored nine of her game-high 25 points in the fourth quarter to hold off Austin to get the victory.

Joining Marchbanks in double-digits was Hailey Holshouser with 16 and Lillyanna Cartee, who finished with 14.

Zamyra Goode led Austin with 15 points, while Tashanti Watkins had 13.

Hartselle (2-0) will host Hazel Green on Thursday at 6 pm.
