Summer Splash
Special to the Enquirer
The Hartselle campus of Daystar Church held its Summer Splash event June 15. The community event invited children of all ages to enjoy water activities in the summer heat. Pastor Tom Watson said Summer Splash was a great way to host a community event while social distancing. Chick-Fil-A provided sweet treats, and two lucky attendees won a Hoverboard and a basket with $500 worth of gift cards. Cards were provided by local businesses, including Bentley’s at the Outhouse, Pizza Ed’s, Oliwia’s Shave Ice, Downtown Southern Sass, Holy Smoke BBQ, Dairy Delite, Kroger and more. “The event was so well received, we are definitely considering doing it again next year even bigger,” Watson said. “We are grateful to all who came out to enjoy it.”
