Hartselle’s Tad Sivley signs with Martin Methodist

Hartselle’s Tad Sivley signed with Martin Methodist Tuesday afternoon. He committed to the RedHawks and Coach Dugan Lyne April 9.

Sivley was a key part of the Tigers’ success during the 2019-20 season. He averaged 14.5 points, 7.6 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game. He helped lead Hartselle to the Northwest Regional for the first time since 2003.

Hartselle basketball coach Faron Key earlier this year called Sivley a unique player with a terrific skill set for his size that makes him a nightmare for opponents.

Martin Methodist is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics. The team plays in the Mid-South Conference.

Sivley said he plans to major in education and psychology.
