Fairview–The Grace Place hosts Starry Night Pageant

The members of FairviewThe Grace Place Church will be hosting Starry Night Pageant March 14.  

The doors will open at noon, and the pageant will begin at 2 p.m. The entry fee will be will be $40, with the proceeds going to the Kids Camp.

Lorene Bryant enjoys joyful 100th birthday  

Feb. 16 Lorene Bryant celebrated her 100th birthday with family and friends in the afternoon at 2 p.m. Her niece, Judy Pope Steele, brought her a chocolate cake and a birthday cake for the celebration.   

Those attending and helping Lorene to celebrate were Pam and Greg Holmes, John Wesley, Stacey and Claire Owens, Mitchell Bryant Owens Sr., Mitchell Bryant Owens Jr., John and Laurie Bryant, David and Tiffany Owens and Silas and Eve, Laura and Rob Hash, Anna Lee Hash, Judy Steele, June Evans, Katie Sue Hardin, Sonja Holladay, Rosemary Richardson, Joseph Richardson, Dan, Kati, Claire and Elizabeth Evans, Jane Knight, Pastor Clint and Deidra Lee, Sharon Leavesley and Ellen Sapp and Doris Brown.  

Lorene and her family really appreciated the phone calls, cards, gifts, flowers and food and the many visitors. Lorene received many cards from her former students from Danville, Massey and Crestline schools.  

McKendree United Methodist Church Events  

The members of McKendree United Methodist Church hosted a covered dish meal Feb. 19 at 6:30 p.m. for their guest speaker, Lee Murphree.   

During the Bible study time, Lee and Gracie told about their work as missionaries in Honduras. They also had books for church members titled Justice. Everyone enjoyed the program and the meal.  

Corinth West Baptist Church Activities  

The members of Corinth West Baptist Church hosted their Senior Citizens Day Feb. 18 at 11 a.m. with an attendance of 63 area residents.  

Tony Smithson gave the devotional program on Feeling Good While Serving The Lord.  

Everyone enjoyed a wonderful lunch, and Felicia Cook called four bingo games following the meal.  

The next meeting will be March 17, St. Patrick’s Day, at 11 a.m.
