Hartselle Junior High School joins ranks of Blue Ribbon schools
Hartselle City Schools is now a Blue Ribbon School of Excellence district. Hartselle Junior High School joined the ranks last week after being named a School of Excellence by the non-profit organization.
“We are proud to announce and congratulate Hartselle Junior High School for being named a 2020 Blue Ribbon Lighthouse School,” said HCS superintendent Dr. Dee Dee Jones. “We appreciate the work and dedication everyone put forth to make this happen.”
The organization, which operates nationwide, certifies schools in nine categories: student focus and support, school organization and culture, challenging standards and curriculum, active teaching and learning, technology integration, professional community, leadership and educational vitality, school, family and community partnerships and indicators of success.
“We are so excited to earn this distinction,” Jones said. “We are very proud of our school system. “
