Lady Tigers dominate during their win over Decatur

DECATUR – Hartselle made quick work of the Decatur Lady Red Raiders in their 35-point victory on Friday night.

The Lady Tigers was strong defensively as they held Decatur to 10 points heading into the fourth quarter.

Following a first-quarter which ended with a 12-4 Lady Tiger lead, Hartselle extended the lead to 15 by halftime, 23-8.

Hartselle (14-10, 2-1) put the game out of reach in the third as they outscored Decatur 22-2. Each team scored 10 in the final eight minutes of play.

Hartselle was led by Carrington Hogan, who finished with 11 points, while Masyn Marchbanks added 10 points, six steals, and five assists. Hailey Holshouser had nine points while Lillyanna Cartee and Kaitlyn Hogan each had eight. Cartee also had seven rebounds, four assists, and four steals.

Jayden Stover and K’Tlyn Taylor each finished with six points to lead Decatur (0-21, 0-3).

UP NEXT: Hartselle, the #4 seed in the Morgan County Tournament will face #5 seed Danville on Monday at 6:30 pm at Falkville High School.
