Hartselle hires Bryan Moore to lead football program

Hartselle has found the man to lead their football program into 2020 and beyond.

After a two-month search, Hartselle has hired Bryan Moore, former head coach at Jasper.

Moore, 34, was officially named head coach Tuesday night following a special called meeting of the Hartselle Board of Education.

“We’re excited to be here,” Moore said. “Hartselle is one of the best jobs in Alabama. The tradition here is so strong.”

Moore comes to Hartselle following a two-year stint at Jasper, where he compiled a 22-3 record and a pair of region championships.

He came to Jasper after three years at Eufala, where he compiled a 26-9 record and three playoff appearances.

At Hartselle, Moore inherits a program that finished 4-7 last season under coach Bo Culver, who stepped down Nov. 22 after one season.

Moore is a native of Valley, Ala. and a graduate of Springwood School and Auburn University.

“We identified five or six coaches across the southeast, not just Alabama, that are some of the best coaches in the game,” Hartselle principal Brad Cooper said. “Coach Moore’s integrity and vision for the program set him above the other candidates.”

“The hiring process by Superintendent Jones, Principal Cooper, and Mr. (Pat) Smith was well done,” Moore said. “I can’t wait to become a part of the Tiger community.”
