Gene Paul Dudley Sr.

Funeral service for Gene Paul Dudley Sr., 82, was Dec. 12 at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Joey Staton officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial was in Shiloh Cemetery.
Mr. Dudley died Dec. 8 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. He was born July 5, 1937, in Morgan County to Wilburn Lee Dudley and Maudie Boldin Dudley. He was the business owner and machinist for Dudley Machine in Decatur.
Gene was truly a man who would give his “shirt off his back” to help others. He loved his family and was the happiest when he was surrounded by them. He enjoyed farming and John Deere Tractors. His loving wife was constantly with him and especially was there the past few months when he needed her the most.
Gene was often heard to say that “I drove to Decatur for 55 years for work and loved doing it.” He was well known for his “shiny” shoes that he kept impeccable.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Leon Dudley; and a sister, Daisy Randolph.
Survivors include his wife, Velma Frazier Dudley, Somerville; three sons, Steve Dudley, Laceys Spring, Gene Dudley Jr. (Laure), Guntersville, and Shawn Dudley (Tammie), Somerville; five daughters, Tena Dudley Obosla (Michael), Talucah, Denise Brown (Mike), Columbus, Indiana, Lynne Knapp (John), Baileyton, Donna Junkins (James), Harvest, Deborah Boles, Somerville; one brother, Benny Dudley, Somerville; three sisters, Juanita Goodner, Hartselle; Jennie Brown, Hartselle; Sandy Roland, Huntsville; nine grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Steven Dudley, Justin Dudley, Will Dudley, Austin Dudley, Chris Junkins, Nathaniel Hall, Marcus Gigandet and John Knapp.
Martha Mavis Prater
Falkville
Funeral service for Martha Mavis Prater, 85, was Dec. 12 at 2 p.m. at Liberty Grove Baptist Church with Bro. Ben Bates officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial was in Liberty Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Prater died Dec. 9 at South Hampton Nursing and Rehab. She was born Sept. 7, 1934, in Winston County to William Ward and Myrtle Cornelius Ward. She was a homemaker and a member of the First
Baptist Church of Falkville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Lemuel Prater; her parents; a sister, Linda Martin; and a grandson, Brett Knight.
Survivors include one son, David Prater (Tonya), St. Johns, Florida; two daughters, Lynn Knight, (Steve), Hartselle, and Loria Allen, (Danny) Somerville; one brother, Waylon Ward, Haleyville; two sisters, Jane Smith, Brewton, and Laura Nell Burns, Double Springs; three grandchildren, Andriea Wells, (Jacob), Austin Prater and Tyde Prater; and three great-grandchildren, Vivian, Cecilia and Evelyn Wells.
Pallbearers will be Chris Smith, Jeff Smith, Jon Burns, Greg Burns, Joe Winkles and Jacob Wells.
Bo Thomas Green
Hartselle
Funeral service for Bo Thomas Green, 77, will be Friday, December 13, 2019
at 6:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Danny Ricks officiating and
Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Mountain Springs Baptist
Church Cemetery in Polk County, Tennessee on Saturday at 2:00 PM (Eastern
Time). Visitation will be Friday, December 13, 2019 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM
at Peck Funeral Home.
Mr. Green died Dec. 9 at his residence. He was born Feb. 26, 1942, in Polk County, Tennessee, to Charles Glenn Green and Willie Mae Dills Green. He was employed as a machine operator for General Motors prior to his retirement. He loved his family dearly.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Green; a daughter, Tammy Stewart; his parents; one brother; and three sisters.
Survivors include one daughter, Angela Ricks (Randall); one son, Doyle Green (Teresa); two stepsons, Ricky Yates and Cody Yates (Vanessa); 10 grandchildren, Jacob Sellers (Sheena), Sarah Wood (Timothy), Kristain Ricks, Joshua Ricks (Kim), Lauren Stewart (Craig), Jason Laughlin (Joy), Colby Yates, Mahailia Yates, Chase Yates and Josh Green; and 15 great-grandchildren, Jordan Sellers, Odakota Sellers, Emily Sellers, Dalton Wood, London Wood, Auston Wood, Arizona Wood, Isabella Self, Emma Jones, River Jones, Brylie Ricks, William Stewart, Justin Laughlin, Josh Laughlin and Alec Laughlin.
Pallbearers were family members.
Robert White “Bob” Schofield

Funeral service for Robert White “Bob” Schofield, 77, was held Dec. 12 at 1 p.m. at First United Methodist Church with Bro. Doug Wells and Bro. Bobby Ray Halbrooks officiating. Peck Funeral Home
directed. Burial was in Hartselle Memory Gardens.
Mr. Schofield died Dec. 9 at his residence. He was born Nov. 24, 1942, in Missouri to John Marcus Schofield and Melba Opal White-Saak. He was a retired insurance agent and teacher who loved his family dearly and was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Lynn R. Schofield, Hartselle; two sons, Melton Rabon Schofield (Sandy), Hartselle, and William Martin Schofield, Hartselle; one daughter, Melissa Ann Schofield Ingram (Neal), Naples, Florida; two brothers, John M. Schofield, Hartselle, and William Rodney Schofield, Washington; four grandchildren, Joshua Rabon Schofield (NeCole), Hartselle, Dustin Robert Schofield (Natasha), Guntersville, Jordan Elizabeth Sule, Atlanta, and Graham Winwright Ingram, Naples, Florida; three step-grandchildren, Preston, Andrew & Betsy Ann Ingram; and great-grandchildren Annabelle, Brylynn, Rabon, Landen, Jayden and Adeline.
Pallbearers were Bob Jaques, Doug Turney, Jerry Weeks, Bill King, Tommy
Raley and Larry Murphree.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to the Good Samaritan Fund of First United Methodist Church of Hartselle.
