Allen C. Morgan

A graveside service for Allen C. Morgan, 81, of Chiefland, Fla., was Tuesday, June 3, at 1 p.m. at Hardeetown Methodist Cemetery in Chiefland, with Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services of Chiefland directing.
Mr. Morgan died Thursday, May 29, 2003, at Shands at University of Florida in Gainesville, Fla. He was born May 4, 1922 in Morgan County to Homer C. Morgan and Cora A. Brown Morgan. He was a retired general contractor, served in the United States Navy as a pilot during WWII and received many honors and metals, served in the Pacific Theatre in WWII, was an avid golfer and a member of the Trenton Masonic Lodge. He was the widower of Mabel G. Morgan.
He is survived by two daughters, Diane Anderson of Soldotna, Alaska and Susan Morgan of Chiefland, Fla.; three sons, Michael Morgan of Chiefland, Fla.; Joe Morgan of Tampa, Fla. and Robert Morgan of Jacksonville, Fla.; one sister, Mavis Morgan Reed of Falkville; and five grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Hospice of North Central Florida.
