MCSO arrest eight in narcotics sweep

MCSO narcotics agents were assisted by patrol deputies in performing a traffic stop involving multiple traffic violations March 26. During the course of the traffic stop, Tommy Paul Russell, 45, of Hartselle was found to be in possession of a quantity of a crystalline substance that field tested positive as methamphetamine. In addition, he possessed marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The driver, Patrick Wade Stover, 31, of Vinemont attempted to eat a baggie that once contained methamphetamine, but was unsuccessful. Stover was placed under arrest for possession of drug paraphernalia and Russell was placed under arrest for unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute-methamphetamine and possession of marijuana in the second degree. Russell and Stover were booked into the Morgan County Jail and their bonds were set at $5,300 and $300, respectively. 
Later the same day, the MCSO narcotics agents were assisted by the MCSO in the service and execution of a search warrant in the 200-block of Iron Man Road during which officers recovered a quantity of a crystalline substance that tested positive as methamphetamine, numerous pieces of drug paraphernalia, marijuana and prescription medication. Additionally, agents recovered a rifle that had an altered/removed serial number. After the search, agents placed Donna Jane Ziegler, 45, of Moulton under arrest for unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute-methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana (second degree) and possession of an altered firearm. Melissa Lynne McCurley, 55, of Hartselle was placed under arrest for possession of marijuana (second degree) and possession of drug paraphernalia. Both subjects were transported and booked in to the Morgan County Jail.
On March 29, MCSO narcotics agents were assisted by deputies with the Sheriff’s Office patrol division in the service and execution of a search warrant at a residence on Simmons Road in Danville. During the course of the search, agents recovered numerous baggies containing a crystalline substance that tested positive as methamphetamine, numerous pieces of drug paraphernalia, prescription medication and marijuana. Ashley Dale Adams, 35, of Hartselle, was placed under arrest for unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute-methamphetamine and her bond was set at $1500. Jessica Ann Baker, 31, of Moulton, was found to be in possession of a quantity of Alprazolam tablets and a methamphetamine pipe. She was placed under arrest for unlawful possession of a controlled substance-Alprazolam and possession of drug paraphernalia. Her bond was set at $1600. Israel Joe Burks, 39, of  Hillsboro and Nathan William Eady, 27, of Hartselle were also arrested and charged with loitering in a drug house. Both have a $300 bond.
