‘Funeral bandit’ linked to multiple Morgan County burglaries

A burglary report was filed with the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office Jan. 30 in which the victim stated that their home was broken into and prescription medication was stolen while their family attended a funeral.
Yesterday, Morgan County Deputy Sheriffs conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle leaving the scene of a possible burglary in progress. The driver, identified as Jennifer Lynn Azizian, of Madison, was identified by the homeowner and arrested on a misdemeanor. Priceville Police Department then charged Azizian with four counts of felony burglary.
MCSO investigators received a statement from Azizian stating that she would search area obituaries online, then use Google Maps to locate the addresses of family members. She would then go to the address during the time of the funeral and forcibly enter the home to locate prescription medication.
MCSO investigators charged Jennifer Lynn Azizian with burglary in the third degree and set her bond at $25,000.
Morgan County investigators ask area residents to contact them if they believe they have been the victim of a break-in or burglary of this nature.
