Morgan County Sheriff’s Office launches NextDoor presence

The Morgan County Sheriff’s Office launched their agency presence on the private neighborhood social media platform Nextdoor. With this new addition, the MCSO can share information with specific neighborhoods or the entire county quickly and efficiently. Thousands of agencies across the country have partnered with Nextdoor to allow for better communication on emergency preparedness, community engagement, crime prevention and community policing.
Additionally, The Morgan County Sheriff Office will utilize NextDoor as more and more communities work to renew their focus on Neighborhood Watch programs.
“This is another opportunity to meet the needs of our citizens where they are. Through our multiple social media platforms, we can quickly share information that can allow the people of Morgan County to make informed decisions,” Sheriff Ron Puckett said. “There are already 7600 Morgan County residents on NextDoor.”
Joining NextDoor is free and can be accessed at www.nextdoor.com or through the app.
