The Stephens Chapter National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution would like to thank all those who helped to celebrate the 231st year of the signing of the Constitution Sept. 17, 1787.
Federally-funded schools and federal agencies are mandated to provide instruction and information about the Constitution, and the DAR encourages education and historic preservation in communities across the U.S.

Mayor Randy Garrison was gracious and supportive of our endeavors by signing a proclamation declaring Sept. 17- 23 as Constitution Week and encouraging the citizens of Hartselle to observe it. His proclamation, along with one from Gov. Kay Ivey, was put in a display at the William Bradford Huie Library. Michelle Blaylock, director, and staff made a winning backdrop for the Constitution along with her proclamation and that of WQAH 105.7.

The Ambercrombies have done a fantastic job of highlighting facts about the Constitution and our founding fathers who formed our history on their wonderful radio station.

May God Bless America for its stand on freedoms that we sometimes take for granted.

Constitution Week is an annual commemoration of the living document that upholds and protects the freedoms guaranteed to us through this guardian of liberties that are central to our American way of life.
