Current University of North Alabama student – and Danville High School graduate – Keely Templeton recently took home the title of Miss Birmingham during a pageant last weekend.

The title is a part of the “Road to Miss Alabama 2018.”

Templeton said she was honored to compete and win the title.

“It’s been a dream of mine to go to Miss Alabama since I was a little girl,” Templeton said. “I’m beyond excited that this dream has become a reality.

“I’m humbled and blessed to be able to represent Birmingham next June,” she added. “For the rest of the year, I will be working hard to prepare for Miss Alabama, as well as working to spread my platform, Soles4Souls, throughout the Birmingham area.”

Templeton’s niece, Alivia Templeton, will also be attending, as she was named the Rising Star candidate.
