Falkville Class of 1957 gather for lunch get-together

Falkville High School class of 1957 met for lunch Sept. 25 at Mister Henry’s Restaurant in Hartselle.

Those class members enjoying their lunch together were Bill Nelson, Arthur Ray, Barbara Summerford, Bobby Glen Staples, Bill and Jane Minter Padgett, Bobby Childers, Ola Mae Wright Coleman, Edward and Merle Higdon, Frances Foote Shaneyfelt, Marlon and Laura Tapscott, Terry and Shelba Asherbranner Wittenburg and Allen Holmes.

Lunch and brunch met at Libby’s Restaurant in Priceville. Among those who ate together were Howard and Helen Gibson, Wilma Deprecast, Eva Stinson, Ray and Betty Sanders and J.L. and Ann Sanders.

Birthdays from Mt. Zion include Larry Robinson – 1st, Shawn Berry – 4th, Larry Pike – 7th, Cade Simmons – 18th, Carl Hill – 24th, Cassidy Thomas – 30th, Tanya Simmons – 2nd, Jerry Thompson – 7th, Ty Ward – 7th, Landon Wallace – 20th, Aden Ward – 25th, David Ferguson – 31st, Betty Hutzler – 3rd, Savannah Garrison – 7th, Crystal Thompson – 8th, Elaine Green – 21st, Ashley Thompson – 27th. Anniversaries include Chris and Carrie Wallace – 17th and Jake and Cassidy Thomas – 18th.

A Halloween community fall festival will be held Oct. 29 from 3-6 p.m. The Falkville Association sponsors this event.

There will be games, live music, food and other events. This event will be held at South Park in Falkville.
