Tempt: to entice or allure to do something often regarded as unwise, wrong or immoral.

Temptation: the act of tempting.

Tempter: one that temps to evil, the tempter Satan.

In our Christian life we battle many things. During these battles we must stand firm knowing that we can depend on God’s strength make it through these times.

In Ephesians 6:10-12, it tells us “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of darkness of this world.

Whether we realize it or not, Satan knows our weaknesses and He know just how and when to entice us to turn from God and back to sin. In Ephesians 6:10-17, Paul is giving us council on how to prepare for the snares that Satan throws our way. Satan is constantly trying to destroy those on the Lord’s side. Paul also instructs us to use every piece of God’s armor to resist Satan’s attacks and to stand true to God in the midst of these attacks. When we are equipped with God’s armor we can do battle and know that victory is ours.
