Members of the Falkville High School class of 1957 met for lunch at Oh! Bryan’s Restaurant in Hartselle. The members that enjoyed the lunch together were Arthur Ray and Barbara Summerford, Edward and Merle Higdon, Bill and Jane Minter Padgett, Bobby Childers, Ola Mae Wright Coleman, Joe Murphy, Katie Sue Hardin, Billy Joe Buckelew, Ernest Morris and Wendell and Geraldine Cloer Holmes.

 

Pet Peeve: Radio stations playing the same songs over and over on the same program.

 

An Easter egg hunt will be held at Fairview: the Grace Place on April 14 from 2 to 4 p.m. this event is for children through fifth grade. They are asked to bring an Easter basket. Games will be played, popcorn, cola drinks and cotton candy will be served. For more information, call 256-784-5642.

 

An Easter egg hunt will be held at First Baptist Church Falkville on April 15 from 1 to 3 p.m. Eggs will be provided. Candy should be donated at the church. The event is for children through the fifth grade.

 

First Baptist Church Falkville will conduct a church wide picnic at South Park on April 30. Everyone is asked to bring a potluck picnic food. Church services will be held. Bring chairs and games.

 

Caleb W. Thompson of Chattanooga, Tenn. formerly of Hartselle, son of Michael and Deborah Thompson and Heather Cooper of Chattanooga, Tenn. formerly of Athens, Tenn., daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Billy Webb and Mr. and Mrs. Gary Cooper were married Nov. 12, 2016 at The Fontaine Vineyards in Asheville, N.C. with immediate family in attendance. The bride and groom made their debut for a celebration held at the Hartselle Depot on Sat., March 18, 2017, given by family and friends. The couple resides in Chattanooga, Tenn.
