Hartselle can’t fend off Decatur’s bats

The Hartselle dropped their area series to the Decatur Red Raiders after a 15-4 loss to the Raiders.

Nathan Howell gave Decatur the lead with an RBI single to score Charlie Crane. Ladarious Woods followed that up with a two RBI double to score Howell and Tanner Burns and give Decatur the 3-0 lead. Hartselle tied the game 3-3 in the third inning. However, a three run bomb from Decatur’s Burns all but ended Hartselle’s chances. The Red Raiders went on to win the game 15-4.

Hartselle 0, Decatur 10:

Decatur jumped on Hartselle early to take the win in this game. The Red Raiders scored four runs in the first two innings. Grayson Bray took the loss for the Tigers.

Hartselle 4, Huntsville 2:

Hartselle topped the Huntsville Panthers in a back and forth affair. RBI singles from Eric Stephenson and Grayson bray put the Tigers up for good in the game. Connor Burks led the Tigers with two hits in the game. Brady Netherton got the win on the mound. Netherton allowed six hits and two runs with strikeouts in a complete game performance.

Hartselle 1, Huntsville 8:

Hartselle fell behind early to the Panthers, which eventually led to their defeat. Austin Parker took the loss on the mound. He gave up seven hits and seven runs in four innings pitched.
