Hartselle Library News

Hello, from Huie Hartselle Library! Last week was “National Puppy Week” and to celebrate we had a visitor at preschool story time. Anna, a husky/shepherd mix came to preschool story time. She loved the kids and the kids loved her as you can tell from our pictures.

We also received a shipment of Large Print books! We have a mixture of western, mystery and romance! There are new titles and some new authors as well. I have included a few of the titles at the end of this article. Come on in for a full list!

We are also well on our way to having our Summer Reading Program plans in place! We are set for an extremely exciting year with new performers!   Our programs will be on Thursdays in July at 10am and our line up is:

July 6: Ron Anglin Quite a Catch Comic and Juggling

July 13: Gary Ledbetter Dynamite Magic & Balloons

July 20: 6th Day Creatures Exotic Animals

July27: Kirsten Simpson Starshine Faces Storytelling

Our theme this year is “Build a Better World.” We are going to have several activities in the Library to go along with that theme. To that end, we are asking for donations of Legos or Lego type blocks.   As always, donations are tax deductible.

Hope you have a very blessed week and we see you soon at the Library!
