Brewer too much for Fairview

The Brewer Patriots took care of Fairview last week in a doubleheader.

The Patriots defeated the Aggies 4-1 in the first game. Zach Kodra and Jacon McMinemon each had RBI singles in the second inning to put the Patriots up 2-1. Brewer added two more runs in the seventh as they went on to take the win 4-1. Arkansas commit Dakota Bennett picked up the pitching win for the Patriots. Bennett surrendered just two hits and one run with 13 strikeouts in five innings pitched.

Brewer 2, Fairview 0:

Brewer picked up another win over the Aggies thanks to a shutout performance from Zach Kodra.  A single from Zack Self to score Jacob McMinemon in the first gave Brewer the 1-0 lead. The Patriots added another as they won the game 2-0. Self, McMinemon, Bennett and Carnes picked up one hit each. Kodra gave up just three hits with eight strikeouts in seven innings pitched.
