Louie Jessie Shelton

Funeral for Louie Jessie Shelton, 84, of Eva was Sun., March 19, at 2 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Stanley Reeves officiating and Geoff Halbrooks assisting and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial was in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery in Oden Ridge.

Mr. Shelton died Mon., March 13, 2017, at his residence. He was born Mon., Oct. 17, 1932, in Cullman County to Steve L. Shelton and Mary Atha (Yarbrough) Shelton. He was a construction worker for Brasfield and Gorrie prior to retirement. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Gladys Stewart, Mary Adams, Georgia Shelton, Opal Denton and Macie Denton; brothers, John Shelton, Paul Shelton, Arvin Shelton, Floyd Shelton, Arnold Shelton and Gilbert Shelton.
He is survived by his his wife of 48 years, Martha Sue Shelton and three brothers, Tommy Shelton (Brenda), Huey Shelton (Becky) and Asa Shelton (Vonda).
Pallbearers were Will Catoe, David Shelton, Mike Tankersley, Ryan Tankersley, Carl Tucker and Garrett Tucker.
Honorary pallbearers were V.A. Oden, Alton Page, George Hudgins, Mike Corley, Sherril Chaffin and Houston Strickland.
