Ephesians 5:20 giving thanks always for all things unto God and the father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

When we are down and all is not right with the world, we may find it difficult to give thanks. Bills that need to be paid, tires needed for a vehicle, college tuition and many other things that may be weighing heavy on your mind. We must first realize God works all things out for good (Romans 8:28). And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to his purpose. This doesn’t mean that all things that happen to us are always good. Evil is present. Thank God not for your problems but for the strength to face the difficult times like those unexpected bills we get. You can rest assured that God and his perfect love will see you through.

Christian love and sympathy is extended to Rodney and Cathy Alexander in the loss of Cathy’s stepdads mother. Also pray for the family of Bo Lyle.

Happy anniversary wishes to Horace and Sarah Plemons on February 14 and also to Larry and Sandra Raper on February 14.

Happy birthday to Marvin Bundy, Gail Day and Joni Mast, all on Feb. 10, JoAnna Bordon on Feb. 11, Peyton Legg on Feb. 12, Pastor Shane Lewis of Somerville Baptist Church on Feb. 13, Parker Lemmond, Betty Dorris and Melinda L. McCleskey, all on Feb. 14, Scott Moore and Freda Swann, both on Feb. 15,
