Falkville track star Mikell Philyaw has been making quite the name for himself in the sport recently.  Philyaw compiled a 17-2 record in the outdoor long jump in 2016. Philyaw has acquired a 7.85 time in the indoor 60M, a 12.23 time in the outdoor 100M and a 25.01 in the outdoor 200M, a 55.09 time in the outdoor 400M and a 55.44 in the indoor 400M. Philyaw also has a time of 13:47.60 in the 2 mile race in cross country and a 21:30.08 in the 5K race.

Currently Philyaw is number 142 in all of Alabama, number 10 in class 1A-3A, the number 1 eighth grader in all of Alabama and the number 2 eighth grader in all of the USA in the 400M. He is also the number 298 in all of Alabama, number 22 in class 1A-3A, number 1 eighth grader in Alabama and the number 6 eighth grader in the USA in the 60M.
