Drugs Found in Bra

 

HARTSELLE—A Hartselle woman was arrested on drug charges after she handed officers a bag of marijuana she had hidden in her bra.

Lisa Carol Briscoe, 48, of Hartselle was arrested after 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 28 following a traffic accident she was involved in. Hartselle Police Chief Ron Puckett said law enforcement responded to the scene of the accident at the corner of Peach Orchard road and Sparkman Street, which involved the vehicle Briscoe was driving.

“Police responded to the wreck and when they did they detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle, “Puckett said. “ According to the arrest report, the officer asked her if she had illegal substances in her car or on her person and she pulled a small baggy of marijuana out of her bra and handed it to them.”

Briscoe was arrested for possession of marijuana and taken to the Morgan County Jail. Briscoe was searched as she was booked into the jail discovered and intake officers discovered a marijuana joint tucked under her left breast.

Briscoe was charged with possession of marijuana in the second degree.
