What does it take to make you happy? For some a great job, a new home or even a new car. In Ecclesiates we read about a man name Solomon who searched for happiness. As a king, Solomon had everything a person could want but none of it gave him the satisfaction that he was searching for. Often times, we like Solomon, are looking for personal satisfaction. True and lasting happiness comes from pleasing God and a right relationship with him because only God who is infinite and all knowing knows what is best for us.

On Christmas Eve Cecil and Jo Bomar hosted a holiday party for family and friends in their home. Those attending were Fred and Evelyn Motes, Nathan and Javon Alldredge, Mike and Kaye Widener, Ryan, Kayla and Olivia Kretzer, Austin Kretzer, Bill and Mearleen Maples, Jason, Trisha, Dylan and Haley Bomar, Shelby Dye, Daniel Bomar, Aaron Higginbotham and Carol and Chris Hardin. All enjoyed a good time of food, fun and fellowship.

On Sunday afternoon Ryan, Kayla and Olivia Kretzer hosted the Motes family Christmas dinner in their home. All enjoyed a great meal and spending time together. Those attending were Fred and Evelyn Motes, Nathan and Javon Alldredge, Mike and Kaye Widener, Glynice Widener, Ryan, Kayla and Olivia kretzer, Freddy, Rhonda, Kindred and Johndale Motes, Darren, Roxanne, Darian and Rachel Tucker and Austin Kretzer. All had a great time of exchanging gifts, sharing Christmas stories and with the weather so good outside some outdoor games.
