The Hartselle Lady Tigers hoped to get out of a losing streak when they traveled to Decatur high school to compete in the DOC tournament for some postseason basketball. The Lady Tigers met the James Clemens in the first round of the tournament.

The Jets extended it to 10-6, but then Kalli Cartee made a circus baskets and Lindsay Berry added a three pointer to give the Tigers the lead 11-10. The Jets retook it 12-11 at the end of the first quarter.

James Clemens furthered their lead in the second quarter by starting on a 9-0 run to make it 21-11. Moriah Taylor added a couple baskets to trim the lead to 23-15 but the Jets still took a 28-17 lead into the break.

The fourth quarter featured Hartselle trying to climb back into the game. The closest the Tigers came would be when Karmyn Key came off the bench and nailed a three pointer to cut the lead to five. However, James Clemens would still go on to win 58-51.

On the second day Hartselle defeated Jackson Olin which set up a rematch with Brewer Lady Patriots.
