LOCAL HUNTER BAGS 8 DUCKS ON HUNTING TRIP

Area resident Daniel Childers has enjoyed hunting since the age of 14 and now 22 years old he still enjoys hunting ducks. On his recent hunting trip Daniel killed 8 ducks, which are pictured with our story. Daniel says that he has lived in Hartselle all of his life. I ask Daniel what he would recommend as a good hunting tip for others wanting to hunt ducks and he said that they should go to the Wild Life Refuge and observe the payouts of ducks and how they work. Since I am not a duck hunter I will close by saying “Stay Safe Area Ducks” and watch out for the hunters.

On Wednesday, Dec. 14 former patrons of the Hartselle downtown Week Days Deli met at Holy Smoke BBQ restaurant at Tanner Heights. Members meet monthly at noon on the second Wednesday. Those with birthdays are honored and have special desserts. Patsy Haywood was the birthday honoree for Dec. Those attending were Neil and Yvonne Quattlebaum, Bobbie Nix, Dwight Jones, Junior and Jerri Hyatt and Fred Smith. The January lunch meeting will celebrate Traci Slate’s birthday. Traci was the owner/manager of Weekdays Deli.
