A domestic disturbance on Nov. 2 at a Hartselle home led to the arrest of seven people on drug related charges and the hospitalization of one woman from a possible overdose.

Morgan County deputies arrived on the scene at 763 East Byrd Road and noticed drug paraphernalia items scattered throughout the home.

They contacted Morgan County’s Drug Task Force who arrived and spoke with homeowner Justin Randolph Ryan, 36.

After speaking with Ryan, Drug Task Force agents obtained a search warrant and found the Schedule II pain reliever fentanyl, Oxycodone, methamphetamine and numerous used syringes, according to a press release from Morgan County Sheriff’s Department.

Agents arrested Ryan and charged him with Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of drug paraphernalia.

He went to jail and his bond was set at $2,800.

Others arrested include Samuel Thorton , 40, for Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, methamphetamine and fentanyl, and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Thorton’s bond was set at $5,300.

Brandon Buckelew, 31, and Brandon Latham, 31, were both arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Loitering in a Drug House, and their bond was set at $600 each.

According to the press release, Buckelew already had felony warrants for burglary and a Drug Court violation.

Justin Roebuck, 24, Coty Brice, 23, and Dakota Finch, 21, were all arrested and charged with Loitering in a Drug House and their bond was set at $300 each.

While at the scene, authorities dispatched an ambulance for an unnamed woman who showed signs of an overdose. Emergency workers took her to Decatur Morgan Hospital.
