Mt. Carmel exceeds goal for Annie Armstrong offering

It is Spring planting time. Many of you have already planted your garden. But here is a garden that you can yet plant.

Every Christian should have such a garden. Plant three rows of squash; squash gossip, squash criticism and squash indifferences. Plant five rows of lettuce; Let us be faithful, let us be loyal, let us be unselfish, let us love one another, let us be truthful. Plant four rows of turnips; turn up for a church, turn up with a smile, turn up with a new idea, and turn up with determination.

Facts about Falkville High School football field. The field did not have lights for many years. To get money to light the field chances on a bale of cotton were sold. This was done in the late 1940’s.

Until this time the football games were played in the afternoon. There were concession stands and you had to bring your own coffee if you wanted any during the game.
