Former contract teacher’s aide arrested for sexual contact with Falkville student

David-Solomon

On Monday, March 28, 2016, David Thomas Solomon, age 25, of 2019 1st Street Huntsville, AL, was arrested for the offense of SCHOOL EMPLOYEE ENGAGING IN A SEX ACT WITH A STUDENT. This arrest follows a lengthy investigation into allegations made by a female who was seventeen-years-old at the time of the alleged offense. Solomon, a contract employee, was working as a teacher’s aide at Falkville High School, where the victim attended. The victim reported the incident to school officials in October 2015, who immediately notified the police. Being a contract employee, school officials immediately terminated Solomon’s employment.

It was later determined that the alleged sexual contact between Solomon and the victim occurred at his former residence in Hartselle, so the case was turned over to Hartselle PD Investigators. Solomon was interviewed about the allegation and he admitted to having sexual contact with the victim. At the conclusion of the investigation, Investigator Sgt. Alan McDearmond obtained a warrant for Solomon’s arrest. Solomon turned himself into the Hartselle Police Department and was later transferred to the Morgan County Jail and given a $5000.00 bond for the offense.
