No Shave November for HPD

If you see any of Hartselle’s Police Officers looking a little different during November don’t worry they are not getting ready to try out for a part on Duck Dynasty. The officers of HPD are once again participating in No Shave November.
Members of HPD will be participating in not shaving and beard growing by raising a minimum of $50 as their goal. Now most officers want to raise as much money as possible and hope to be able to have a much larger amount than $50.
Just last year the officers raised over $3100 for the Alabama Pediatric Hydrocephalus Foundation during the event.
This year the money raised will be used to help local families enjoy Christmas. The officers would like to be able make sure the families have a Christmas meal, presents and be able to help the families with other needs they might be having at the time.
The officers welcome any donations that folks would like to help with for this fundraising event. You can specify which officer you wish to donate to and support, or if you would like to make a random donation at the police department the money will be spread around the participating officers.
According to Officer Shannon Hale “the guys are excited about being able to lend a helping hand to those who might be in need, and make sure a few more families can enjoy the Christmas season just as others are able to. Growing the beard is just a bonus for stepping up and helping out your neighbors.” Hale estimates that 10 -15 officers will participate this year.
The officers also appreciate Chief Ron Puckett for allowing the officers to take part in this event again this year. Please show your support of our Hartselle officers and help them help others this year.
