Alberta Vest Hampton

Funeral for Alberta Vest Hampton, 83, of Hartselle will be Fri., Oct. 23, at 2 p.m. at East Highland Baptist Church with Shelton Funeral Home directing and the Rev. Walter Blackman officiating.

The family will receive friends for two hours prior to the service. Interment will be in Roselawn Cemetery.

Mrs. Hampton was a native of Morgan County, and a member of East Highland Baptist Church. She and her husband owned and operated H&S Grocery for over 38 years.

She is survived by two sons, Mark Hampton (RaJane) of Hartselle, and Keith Hampton of Ft. Myers, Fla.; two daughters, Debbie Romanus of GulfPort, Miss.; and Teresa H. Adams of Athens; two sisters, Lavern Devoe (Dick) of Priceville, and Peggy Tidwell (Bob) of Madison; seven grandchildren, Dena Ellis (Sonny), Dustin Brooks (Heidi), Valerie Adams, Blake Hampton, Grant Hampton, Ali Lee (Caleb), and Chad Hampton; and seven great-grandchildren, Hayden Nobles, and Cade, KDJane, Serenity and Destiny Brooks and Lexi and Hampton Lee.

Pallbearers will be Chad Hampton, Caleb Lee, Will Lawrimore, Mike Tarpley, Hayden Nobles and Bob Tidwell.

Honorary pallbearers will be Richard Devoe and Sonny Ellis.
