Lelton ( LM ) Russell

A graveside service for Lelton ( LM ) Russell, 86, of Falkville will be Sat., Sept. 26, at 4 p.m. at Roundtop Cemetery in Falkville, with Bro. Aaron Warnick officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. No visitation is scheduled.

Mr. Russell died Tues., Sept. 22, 2015, at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born Jan. 25, 1929, in Cullman County to Leroy Russell and Myrtle Molly Cook Russell. He was a fireman for 28 years for the city of Decatur. Mr. Russell was also a veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of Piney Grove Christian Church and served as a deacon at Pine Street Church for many years. He built many homes in his local community while working as a general contractor. Mr. Russell was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Mac Russell; two brothers, Houston and John Russell; a sister, Eula Halbrooks; and his first wife, Sue Russell.

He is survived by his wife, Katherine Russell of Falkville; two sons, Joe Russell (Ann) of Falkville and Thomas Russell (Darlene) of Hartselle; a step-son, Keith Ray of Decatur; a step-daughter, Raymonda Foote (Norman); a brother, Roy Russell of Clearwater, Fla.; two sisters, Athleen Dukes of Hartselle and Mary Lou Steel of Falkville; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; and six step-great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Rodney Russell, Bobby Russell, Billy Joe Russell, Tyler Lawrence, Jake Russell, and Jesse Russell.
