Meth lab discovered in Eva

The Morgan County Drug Task Force charged two people with methamphetamine related charges Wed.,

April 29, according to a report from Sheriff Ana Franklin.

MCDTF agents executed four felony arrest warrants and search warrants at 2275 Lawrence Cove Road in Eva.

Agents located both David Alan Knox and Jana Knox within the residence.

Agents had previously located four one-pot methamphetamine labs, chemicals and materials associated in the manufacturing of methamphetamine that had originated from the residence.

During the search, they located acid, lye, salt, lithium batteries, ammonia nitrate and Coleman fuel. Agents also located coffee filters containing a white powder residue that field-tested positive as methamphetamine. Agents seized three rifles and one handgun from the residence.

Both David Knox and Jana Knox were arrested on the four outstanding felony warrants and have additional charges of unlawful manufacturing of methamphetamine first degree and unlawful possession of felony drug paraphernalia. David and Jana Knox were decontaminated and transported to the Morgan County Jail without incident.
