Children’s Medical Center in Plano, Texas has announced the appointment of Michael Wiggins as senior vice president and administrator, beginning April 6. As administrator, Wiggins will be responsible for the implementation of the Children’s Health strategic plan of the Plano campus and will oversee the hospital’s daily operations.

Most recently, Wiggins served as vice president of operations at Children’s Hospital of Alabama in Birmingham. Before that, he was senior vice president and COO of Lewis-Gale Clinic in Salem, Virginia.

Wiggins is a graduate of Hartselle High School and UAB, Birmingham and is the son of Leo and Iris Wiggins of Hartselle.
