A graveside service for Latane Turney Burgess, 90, of Falkville will be Mon., April 20, at 3 p.m. at Center Springs Cemetery with Bro. Bobby Ray Halbrooks officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Visitation will be Mon., April 20, from noon to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Burgess died Wed., April 15, 2015, at Summerford Nursing Home. She was born Oct. 18, 1924, in Morgan County to Wesley Mason Turney and Bernice Lemmond Turney. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, William T. Burgess and her parents.

She is survived by three daughters, Mary B. Higdon (Wayne) of Hartselle, Emlie Carroll (James) of Birmingham and
Martha Jones (Steve) of San Antonio, Texas; six siblings, Hazel Ward and Dr. Shannon Turney, both of Huntsville, Joy Rowan of Tallahassee, Fla. and 
F.D. Turney, 
Norris Turney and Coy Turney, all of Hartselle; brother-in-law, 
Paul Burgess, of Hartselle; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Christopher Higdon, Matthew Carroll, Blake Jones, Royce Turney, Sean Brown and Mark Brewer.
