Norman Lockhart

Funeral for Norman Lockhart, 85, of Hartselle was Thur., April 9, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Brad Eades and Charles Shaddix officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial was in Hartselle City Cemetery.

Mr. Lockhart died Mon., April 6, 2015, at Decatur Morgan Hospital. He was born July 7, 1929, in Jefferson County to Estes Lockhart and Audie Entrekin Lockhart. He was a U.S. Navy veteran that served aboard the U.S.S. Enterprise. He was also retired from 3M Company, where he worked as a maintenance mechanic. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Hartselle and was preceded in death by his wife, Emily Shirley Walker Lockhart and his parents.

He is survived by two daughters, Dena Jackson (Charles) of Canton, Ga. and Rita Lockhart of Hartselle; a brother, John Lockhart of Hartselle; three grandchildren, Blake Penn, Shannon Penn and Caitlin Couey.

Pallbearers were family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to your favorite charity.
