Billy Joe Parker

Funeral for Billy Joe Parker, 83, of Somerville will be Sun., March 29, at 1:30 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Earl Holt and Bro. Arvil Nix officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial will be in Cedar Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be Sat., March 28, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Parker died Fri., March 27, 2015, at Decatur Morgan Hospital. He was born Sept. 28, 1931, in Morgan County to Floyd Richard Parker and Ophelia Dutton Parker. He was a farmer. He was preceded in death by his wife, Hester Parker; his parents; a son, Doug Parker; and sisters, Dorothy Woodall and Helen Lott.

He is survived by a son, Frank Parker (Charlene); three daughters, Brenda Livingston (Eddie), Jo Belcher (Wayne) and Pam Stringer; a sister, Sherry Burchell (Bud); 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Pallbearers will be Mike Ballenger, Tyler Parker, Shane Livingston, Justin Ryan, Cade Graves and Cody Smith.
