Brewer softball roundup for March 24

Brewer’s Lady Patriots collected eight hits in an 8-0 win over Decatur’s Lady Red Raiders on the road March 17.

The big hit of the game was a three-run homer by Brewer’s Taylor Ledbetter. Cassidy Stephens had a pair of singles, an RBI and a run. Anna Sharp had a pair of singles, an RBI and a run.

Kayla Mitchell added an RBI-double and scored a run, Madison Evans had a two-run double, and Katy Couch had a hit.

Stephens scattered three hits with three strikeouts and a walk to earn the seven-inning shutout.

Westminster 13, Brewer 0

Brewer’s Lady Patriots managed only one hit in a 13-0 loss to Westminster at home Friday.

Anna Sharp had a single for Brewer.

Cassidy Williams pitched three and one-third innings, allowing 11 runs on seven hits with a strikeout and three walks.

Bailey Watkins pitched one and two-thirds innings, allowing two runs on one hit while striking our two and walking one.
