Joseph Don Michael

A graveside service with military honors for Joseph Don Michael, 75, of McKinney, Texas, was Fri., March 6, at 2 p.m. at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas, with Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas directing.

Mr. Michael died Sat., Feb. 28, 2015. He was born July 23, 1939, to Samuel Michael and Flora (Childs) Michael in Mississippi. He served his country proudly in the United States Coast Guard, Army and Air Force. He served multiple tours of duty in the Vietnam War.

He is survived by his wife, Wilma Michael of McKinney, Texas; three sons, Christopher Michael (Tara) of McKinney, Texas, Joel Michael (Carolyn) of McKinney, Texas and Jason Michael (Nicole) of Dallas, Texas; two grandchildren, Hayden Michael and Amanda Michael; a sister, Barbara “Mitzi” Handwerk of Palm Springs, Calif.; a brother, Danny Lette of Pawhatan, Va.; two nieces; four nephews; and a host of other loving family members and friends.
